The Emperor is the ruler of the nation Anatoray. When Marius Bassianus fled the Guild by stealing a Guild battleship, he brought it to the Emperor. They used the stolen ship's Claudia Unit in the construction of the Silvana, a ship that would be free from Guild control. Due to the ship's singular value, the Emperor assigned his own daughter, the Princess Sophia Forrester, to the ship's bridge crew, with instructions to spy on the captain Alexander Row. However, Sophia fell in love with Alex, and never leaked any compromising information.
During the Disith siege on the capital, the Emperor refuses to step down to allow Sophia to ascend the throne, and gives orders for her to be slain. Marius attacks the Emperor and the two fight to their mutual deaths. Sophia is fortunately saved by the intervention of Vincent Alzey and is coronated Empress of Anatoray.
