Scolopendra Cannon

The Scolopendra Cannon is a large steam-powered cannon that overlooks the Imperial Capital of Anatoray. It was designed to defend the city from invading fleets; the cannon is capable of sinking a Reparation class battleship with a single shot.

During the invasion of the Anatoray capital by Disith forces, General Vitellius Glamis takes command of the Scolopendra Cannon. When he refuses to recognize Sophia Forrester's ascension to the throne and disregards her order for a cease-fire, Vincent Alzey opens fire on the Scolopendra Cannon with the Urbanus, killing Vitellius and destroying the weapon.

Trivia[]

Scolopendra is a genus of centipedes. The cannon is probaby so named because its long barrel and the numerous steam pipes feeding into it give it a centipede-like appearance.
The Scolopendra Cannon design resembles the various superguns and superheavy tanks proposed or constructed. Similar to the actual designs of the weaponry, the Scolopendra Cannon lacks the ability to target moving vehicles. The Scolopendra Cannon is destroyed as it can not change position or target the flanking ships.
